Sweet October
October of 2011 has finally come to its sweet end. Surely, this month has become a rollercoaster ride for me and probably for others as well. For the whole month, I have experienced different twists and turns of emotions plus opening and closing new doors of opportunity and regrets. Clearly, this month has become one of the most memorable month through out the year of the metal rabbit. Well let me just give you a beat why this month became memorable to me.
The thesis that drained our pockets and quenched our brains and became the center of our college life suddenly come to an unexpected fall. That was a brilliant slap to our faces. Ouch!
When my co-researchers and I faced the last jury, the nervousness that we felt was overflowing and it seemed like it’s the only feeling that resided on earth that time. And in the end, the nervousness that we felt paid price. It turned out that we really have reason to get nervous because our data were sick. We really tried to make amendments just to save it but the statistician said that the virus were totally contained. So what’s the least choice do we have but to start data-gathering again. The last jury really dropped us from the top of Empire State Building to the ground.
Even though we did not make it on the first attempt, at least we still have chance to do it better on the second time. At least, the thought of doing it better the second time around uplifted us from the downfall that we felt.
Another thing that made us feel easy after that great downfall were the praises and encouragements we heard from the panel members. It healed my heart when I heard that the panel members don’t give the blame on us for the misfortune of our study. Instead they figured it as someone’s responsibility who overlooked to do his job well. I will no longer mention the praises that they said it might make me sound bragging. Duh!![]()
Enough with the regrets, let us go to the opportunity. Last October 24 my friend Jayson and I started working for Miss Maurine “M” as her associates. Thank God, I have a source of income now. Miss M built this little firm called B+ Associates which offers online works and services. I was so grateful to April Olinan for informing us about this work. Now, I am earning and I can buy anything that I want because I already have work. And I would like to extend my gratitude to Miss M for giving us this break and opportunity to broaden our knowledge and experience.
That is just a beat of what happened to my October month. There are a lot more to share yet I don’t want to itch your eyes by giving a long post to read. So I’m going to end here and all I can say is that October is my month. I am excited on what will November give me this year. I hope it’s a lot better than October. Thank you Lord for the unlimited blessings! You are the best!
